For a dream 4 pass. full custom experimental aircraft, which control would be better, yoke or joystick?

I like how yokes look and feels, but what would be some disadvantages against the joystick? For a dream 4 pass. full custom experimental aircraft, which control would be better, yoke or joystick?
Personally, I like yokes better. To me, they feel sturdier than joysticks and I feel more in control. It would also be better if it had fly by wire. The advantage with the joystick is you have more space, and there isn't anything between your legs. It all depends on the pilot's preference. I'll take a stick and a single seat any day. Tandem seats are fine too. I like centerline seating, but that's just me.





If I have to fly a four seater, then I want a yoke. Flying a four seater with a stick (side stick in SR-22) is like flying with half a yoke anyway and I've found little difference except this:





With a center joystick (fighter style, regardless of seats onboard) the pilot can switch hands and fly for awhile with his or her left hand, or change frequencies or do some other task. You can do that with a yoke since they have two handles. Try that with a side stick mounted on the left side and you'll soon find the only disadvantage.

Yes, I realize that you can reach everything with your right hand, but sometimes it's just nice to let go and fly with the other hand or reach down for a dropped pencil or swat a bee or scratch an itch or wave at someone or open a vent or adjust your headset or...





You'll get used to anything, but everyone has their opinion and you've read mine!





Edit: And just why does Avio think fly-by-wire is a passing fad? She must think that fly-by-wire is the pulley and cable system. Snort! And control sticks won't disappear until airplanes are thought controlled.
Joysticks and fly-by-wire are a passing fad and will eventually disappear. The yoke has no disadvantages by comparison with the joystick, and you should stay with the yoke for your design.
